Econs Project

To anyone who still needs econs project info this is a summary of the scenario and what you need to do for the project.

INTRO:
You have just been elected President of college econs society. You need to fulfill your promise to publish an in-house econs magazine that will serve as enrichment to J1 econs students.

TASK:
1) Go to the library and check out some of the econs magazines and see there value to the students.
2) Brainstorm how your group likes the magazine to be
3) Give your the magazine a name; first issue should have 6 pages.
4) Consider the usefulness of the magazine to the econs students.
5)consider the students preferences, budget, availability of similar magazines, how you get the resources, relevant cost of production, will you be able to obtain funding, etc.
6) How to market and distribute magazine? how to price magazine and how much it is going to be?

OUTCOME:
Produce a prototype of the 6 page magazine and complete the report template for submission.

DEADLINE:
6 July 2007 (Friday) before noon

Assessment Criteria:
1) selection of appropriate economic info
2) presentation and layout, creativity and originality
3) pricing
4) generation and evaluation of ideas
